Finding Ideas for An Online Business

My immediate circle of friends are always asking me about my online business ideas and activities.

"What have you launched lately?"
"What are you writing about or teaching now?"
"What’s your next project?"

I love the fact that they’re interested in my work life, but it also saddens me.

Saddens me because they believe I’m ‘living the dream’, something they’d love to be doing – working from home – if only they could come up with a good idea for an online business.

Consider though that not one millionaire business owner ‘made it’ to success with his or her first idea. Even Edison tried over 100 different ways to create that light bulb!

Conclusion

My friends are right. I am living the dream. But they seem to forget the two years I seldom left my office while I built this business. While I learned and applied what was required to make it profitable.

"I can’t think of a good idea for a website!" is the most often heard complaint, but honestly the idea is just the beginning of the work required.
