Gardening in the Country
in Country Garden
The gardening season seems far away for us here in northern Canada but that doesn't mean I'm not dreaming of days filled with flowers and fresh vegetables once again. This year the frost hit our land on August 21st - talk about a short growing season!
This year I vowed to write more for you about country gardens while I'm not spending all my time enjoying and maintaining them.

Country Gardening and Organic Gardening
One of the biggest crazes in rural gardening - whether for personal use or profit - is organic gardening.
The need for organic gardening grew as a result of the problems associated with using modern gardening products. These products are man-made chemical compounds never intentionally meant for human consumption.
Modern gardening fertilizers, pesticides, growth enhancers may make beautiful looking flowers and produce, but they actually contaminate the health of humans.
Chemicals do not just stay in the soil they've been used. They leech further into the earth, then into the water table and quite literally poison local water sources, gardens, your home, and your body.
As more and more people become aware of this, more and more people look to the promises of healthful organic gardening.
This is the reason why GoodByeCityLife has dedicated an entire section of our gardening pages to organic gardening - to get you on track and up-to-date with this more intelligent and gentler way to grow both flowers and food, for personal use or for profit.
