Have you been thinking about raising chickens and now you need to find a place to buy grown chickens, roosters, or eggs to hatch in a chicken incubator?

In Canada, and perhaps in America as well, the easiest place to order your baby chickens from are any local feed supply store.
These country stores have regular shipments of baby chicks and pullets coming in on pre-order. The poultry supplier is usually a government regulated and industry respected distributor. Check your yellow pages or ask a local chicken farmer for their recommendation on where to find chickens for sale.

Me too, but all I know is that in the San Francisco Poultry you can buy New Hampshire Reds/Rhode Island Reds and in Olivera Egg Ranch you can buy chickens.

The best option, however, is rescuing!
I work with Animal Place, and we take in hens from egg farms who would otherwise be killed. Once they have been examined, dewormed, and dusted for mites and lice, we adopt them out to people in northern California. We’ve taken in around 2,400 so far this year and the number keeps growing.
We’re a non-profit organization, so all proceeds from the affordable adoption fee go to rescuing more animals. There are other benefits, too, including not having to raise chicks, no chances of surprise roosters, very low risk of disease, we will take back the chickens for any reason, and as much free chicken-related advice as you want from chicken experts.
