I wouldn't keep ducks with chickens so I can't correctly answer this. First off, chickens create a lot of dander which may not be good for ducks. Second, they like to roost and poop. If ducks are nestled below for the night they get to wake up in the morning covered in chicken poop. Secondly, ducks can be messy, sloppy, wet. I imagine there are some veterinary considerations here that I don't know about because I just would never house them together. Geese and ducks I might consider housing together - but not chickens with ducks.

Will ducks in the same pen as the chickens prevent them from laying eggs?
